Dr. Angela Avok - Medical Director
Dr. Angela Avok graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, and also received a Clinical Small Animal Dentistry Certificate from the Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She has been practicing as a feline veterinarian since then! While completing her education, Dr. Avok worked with Operation Catnip, a nonprofit spay/neuter/vaccination program for community cats in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Avok transitioned to the veterinary industry after a thirteen- year career at Walt Disney World, where she served a variety of leadership roles in the merchandising department. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Suzanne Morris- Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Morris joined our practice in February 2016! She grew up in Colorado and moved to southern California, where she worked in the biotech field for many years. When her cats entered their golden years,she realized that there was a need for veterinarians who cater to the needs of kitties and decided that she would like to fill that role. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at feline-only practices for the past three years. She looks forward to meeting her new kitty patients and their parents! Dr. Morris is also a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Melissa Mauldin, CVPM, Hospital Administrator
Melissa joined the Bay Hill Cat Hospital in 2012. Melissa has many years of experience in the veterinary industry and was awarded the designation of Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in 2010. Her passion is to make your client experience amazing! Outside of work, Melissa enjoys running, biking and triathlons and spending time with her family and friends.
Darby, Veterinary Technician
Darby has been with BHCH for 5 years now. She enjoys working at BHCH because she just loves cats! Her passion is dentistry and making sure that your kitty's teeth are pearly white. She shares her home with her husband and their three kitties. When not working, you will find her scrapbooking, going to sports games, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sara, LVT, Lead Veterinary Technician
Sara’s love of animals started while growing up in Northern California. She has been a licensed technician since 2004. She has worked with all species of animals in her career but has always had a passion for our feline friends. A couple of her favorite topics are feline nutrition and “catification” of your home. She shares her life with her husband, three cats and a special needs Dachshund. Outside of work she likes spending her time at Disney, reading and pretty much all things nerdy.
Carey, Practice Manager
Carey joined us in 2015! You will often see her greeting our guests at the front desk and taking care of various administrative tasks for the hospital. Being multi-talented, she also helps the technicians throughout the day when they need an extra hand. She has worked many years as a veterinary technician, but found her true calling in customer service after working at a local hotel.
Lacey, Veterinary Technician
Lacey joined our team at Bay Hill in the Summer of 2015. Before joining us at Bay Hill, she worked for several years at the San Diego Humane Society. We are very glad Lacey found us!
Michele, CVT, Veterinary Technician
Michele joined our team at Bay Hill in the Summer of 2015. She has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for more than 10 years and joined our team after leaving the hustle and bustle of a large 24/7 practice.
